A Shakespearean sonnet about the Exxon Valdez oil spill

Running 'round there within the winking Sound,
I found a clump; liquid, dead animal.
It hit the world like pitchers on the mound.
The animals eaten by cannibals.

I remember the clean waters out here,
And the sun shining, pleasant waters, deep.
But now I have no animals to fear.
All because of this American creep.

So I stick my finger in the water,
And read a book on docile animals.
The hot seat is only getting hotter,
The milk that damaged one will damage all.

Barbecue is canceled, at least two weeks.
I'd better get started cutting those leeks.
