Rock and Roll Ads: sometimes it just ain't right. |
Time By Life Time is not a constant, Though we treat it as such: Sixty seconds per minute, per hour. For a raindrop of time Digits disappear. You rush through the door, Have a chat in the store, And return to the car, Same radio song to keep singing along. But somehow it seems wrong That the song keeps its own rhythm. "The Song Remains the Same," And we create the schism: Who would know better than we, The aged, now become grayed, Hindered spirits of the Hindenburg-- Take a dewdrop of time, relax your mind From the music of the ad on TV. Think '66, or '69, Or the year you were nine, And about school, what was cool, And how we measured time differently. If time is what you make it, I'll mark my time by life, And the lessons learned. |
