A song about outrageous artists' antics and their criticisms. Not for conservatives. |
formerly "Shocking Stupidity" Right now they're shocking one's eyes. Now is that right? But they've been shocking those eyes. I wonder if that's right. Right now they're shocking ones eyes. Now is that right? But they've been shocking those eyes. I wonder if that's right. Waking up this morning, groggier than hell, I hear the bells blaring. I want to smash those bells. They're calling(calling) to the people. They say that, "It's time to get up and be brainwashed." Reluctantly I rise. I walk to my window. Bubblegum pink greets my eyes, and I remember why I'm filled with woe. It's saddening to see no thought in the world. All I see today is zombies in the streets. I look 'round. I see my thoughts. But my mouth's been bound as I suffer for everything I've fought. We are greeted by that sadness each and everytime we look at our reality. Children, adults, seniors are afflicted with that very disease we thinkers call naivety. Sadly there is nothing that can be done, for if we perfect our art we're shocking stupidity. Now another artist's on trial. People sue 'cause the artist is "a bad influence on my children." This has been goin' on for such a long while. I have no more strength within. I feel we have no 1st Amendment. Maybe it's because of our fellow citizens. They want society without a scratch or dent. They want America to return to innocence. But the truth is, my friends, America is innocent no more. That very thing has been gone for longer than I've known. Still, I sit at the window. I watch as you refuse information. I am filled with woe as I witness the childish likes of our nation. I'm pining for you to grow up. I'll make sure you understand. Ignorance must be sacrificed. It's time to let go of that holding hand. We are greeted by that sadness each and everytime we look at our reality. Children, adults, seniors are afflicted with that very disease we thinkers call naivety. Sadly there is nothing that can be done, for if we perfect our art we're shocking stupidity. Oh, and it makes me flailing mad. I'm sick of people lyin' down. Never have I seen a species so sad as humans when they flip the world upside down. All this sheltering, protecting isn't gonna do a bit of good. The lawsuit mandated censoring isn't working like you hoped it would. Can't escape that all important fact that each person must take control. People, you've got to learn that in life you must take an active role. Right now they're shocking one's eyes. Now is that right? But they've shocking those eyes. I wonder if that's right. People today have no clue how to handle American culture, and panic-oh, hell yeah, they do!- claiming today's art's torture. Still, it shouldn't surprise me. Throughout time, people have always complained about the artwork that they see. Why? Well, people hate change. But the world's a-changing. I doubt you recognize we're still growing, learning and evolving. Stop saying we're shocking your eyes. It's not our job to babysit. We simply entertain the aged. It's sad you don't know what to do about it, and that's what's causing today's rage. Right now they're shocking one's eyes. Now is that right? But they've been shocking those eyes. I wonder if that's right. And I look out the window. I teeter on insanity I'm so terrified. I scream to shatter your ears, hoping it's not so. Lord help us if common sense has died. If that's the case, (the very fate I fear) I've never been so goddamn sad. Just fuck the human race which trashed any forms of expression we had! We are greeted by that sadness each and everytime we look at our reality. Children, adults, seniors are afflicted with that very disease we thinkers call naivety. Sadly there is nothing that can be done, for if we perfect our art we're shocking stupidity. We are greeted by that sadness each and everytime we look at our reality.
