When you meet someone who is in the final stages of breast cancer. Someone who is the "poster child" of anything that can go wrong will go wrong. Then you hear that her fate could be yours, you tend to pay close attention to more than the written test reports.
It would be easier to put my fate in the hands of the professionals but my file rests in stacks of many other files so I choose to stear my fate my way.
In theory I am only one person in line but my way of thinking is that I am the only person in line. That may take up more than the allotted 15 minutes allowed in a busy doctor's schedule but I'll take the time I need to hope for the time I want.
This file has pieces of my steps to be aware and in control of my future, as much as I can be. A pre-cancer diagnosis doesn't mean my fate is completely out of my hands.
I have left this folder and it's items as rateable only so that it may be found in a search by anyone who is or will be going through a similar experience. I will not mind if it never recieves a single rating since it is really meant to be here for informational purposes. I do not claim that all information that will be written from my point of view is the tried and proven method of treatment, acceptable or unacceptable. I can only talk from where I sat in each of the items posted and to be posted. My decisions are not neccesarily someone else's preference since every case is unique, no matter how similar some may be. Any feedback is welcome and in case you are on a similar path I just wanted you to know that you are not alone.
