Abby and Brandy are our dogs at home.
They are the reason that I wrote this poem.
Abby a black lab, at 14, is old I suppose.
How much time that we have left together, God only knows.
Brandy is a small dog that is 9 years old,
she's pretty feisty, I would even say she's bold.
They're quite a combo, but on their behalf,
they're easy to love 'cause they make us laugh.
Abby's white face and nose show her age,
so does my white beard,it must be the rage.
Brandy's been a barker since she was a pup.
You can yell all you want, she just won't shut up.
We only have to feed them and make sure that they're okay,
it makes them both happy as sin for the entire day.
For all their love, I'm deeply indebted,
all that they ask is just to be petted.
If I feel bad,I can open the door and be sure,
that my two furry friends have found the perfect cure.
When I open that door, any trouble I have pales,
Abby and Brandy smile at me, by wagging their tails.
