Love vs. Fear

A battle in my heart.

Dripping with blood,
Stomped in the ground,
Torn to shreds,
Balance never found.

Washed in acid,
Scrubbed completely clean,
Rinsed in pure water,
For that glowing sheen.

Fear and doubt,
Consume the mind,
Love and security,
Always left behind.

Pulled in by words,
A love so sweet,
Torn away by fear,
Doubt's my defeat.

Doubting and wondering,
How will this end?
Watching and waiting,
Can you make my heart mend?
