this poem just described me at a time in my life
What once was normal has now progressed
Into something more surreal.
Though changed, I feel I must confess
It just does not seem to be real.

What became of that which was
And where now might it be?
For change brought this land of Oz
And I might want to retract this journey.

Cowardice it seems not to commit
To a blessing in disguise.
But what if this blessing, once I permit
Is nothing more than a thousand lies?
