a light-hearted and philosophical look at life's ups and downs |
| The "bad with the good" has been deemed "bitter-sweet", when referring to victories ensued by defeat. Some clouds come with linings, and tunnels, with light, giving hope in what's wrong a new chance to go right. Those pathways are sought as the roads to success, but can take a detour along roads that regress. In choosing a road, players stand for a fall, where a twisted law blusters: "You can't win 'em all"! An embarrassing low, getting "kicked when you're down", but the bitter turns sweet, when: " What goes 'round, comes 'round"! Many fates come in "threes" as their victims avowed, such as "three on a match", or "three is a crowd". Funny sayings were made to describe our worst days; when we're faced with despair, we turn into cliche's! |
