Cold, empty eyes gaze back at me
So different from what they used to be.
Once filled with hope, love, and care,
Now grey and dark with nothing there.
Knowing how this change came to pass,
Belonging to a completely seperate class.
No worries or goals within those eyes,
No values, just indifference and no ties.
Bottomless pools that reflect what they see,
A sad soul chained down, never to be free.
Horrors once seen that will never go away,
A pain in the heart, that will always stay.
Hands become fists, in light of tension,
As I gaze back, at my reflection.
