Dragons and slayers a battle for life. Written for the Minus the Vowel I Poetry Contest |
| Thanks for the chance to try something new. Dragons descend upon the dead, that float upon a sea of red. Flames sear at the hearts of men, for slayers have found the dragon's den. Crystal tears fall from the sky as broken hearted dragons cry. Saddened by a lonely fate a dragon searches for her mate. Slayers left a long strewn bed of dragon corpses and cut off heads. The broken heart of a dragon lay on a scattered bed of new mown hay. Slowly beats the lonely heart for the dragon she loves was torn apart. Less and less are left to dwell for man has made a wanton hell. As her heated breath ceases to burn. her lonely heart starts to yearn. Try as they may the dragon's cry, for another that went to the last good-by. |
