It's funny how your world falls apart but the World keeps on turning

We were one
Our heart beats
One
Our separate lives
Inexplicably entwined
One thought
Safe
Together

I am one
One heart beat
One
Sitting there
Listening carefully
Words flowing
No thought
Space
Alone

These things happen
It's for the best
Suffering over
Time to move on
They forget
My heart doesn't
The world keeps on turning
