Penned Up Thoughts

Dark words--
Black on white
Blocking out the light?
"But no one walks
Down the hall
In tears."
Oh really?
Just maybe
the salty sting
Exists deep within
Pushed down into
A black crystal place
With gates barred.
No pain enters
No tears leave
The Key?
Who knows?
But something unlocks the door
And words
Never spoken,
Begin to breathe
Black
On
White.
