| Sea Salad Come with me, the mermaid said, as she took me by the hand. I'll show you the ocean meadows beneath the sea and sand. We have lush vegetable gardens here on the ocean floor. Enough to create a sea salad I know that you'll adore. I didn't want to argue. I didn't want to fuss. But I sure couldn't tell her, I didn't like veggies much. She began to fix me a dish called Neptune's delight. It wasn't really awful, in fact, it was all right. There was a hint of green sea urchin, and a smidge of wakeme, Sea cucumber, lettuce, asparagus. It tasted good to me. I came up out of the ocean not as hungry as before. Now, when Mom fixes green beans I'll probably eat more. ![]() |
