a young frenchman named Edmond Dantés is framed for treason and put in the prison Château D'if. after his escape 14 years later, he descovers the lost treasure on the island of Monte Cristo and Uses his wealth to get his revenge on the people who framed him.

the way it is written. alot of twists and turns.

some of the chapters are a little boring at times but after you read them you find they are important to the story, their just a little hard to get through at first.

Alexandre Dumas is an excelent writer and did a wonderful job telling the story.

because it is an amazing story about revenge and betrail and all that fun stuff. it has several sub-plots and it all ties together at the end and eventually the good guys are rewarded and the bad guys, well, i won't say but i imagine you can guess.

you have to think, it isn't one of those books you can skip over anything and get the rest of the story.

i loved this book, it was excelent.
