Ella was placed under a curse to always be obedient. Should anyone tell her to do something, she has no choice but to do it. Not only is this an annoying inconvenience, it also puts her life in danger at any given moment should anyone discover her curse. And, in case you couldn't tell from her name, Ella Enchanted has a Cinderella twist.

Anyone inclined to fairy tales, but I highly reccomend it for anyone that can so much as read! This is the book that got me hooked on fairy tales when I was ten years old. Even at eighteen years old, it's still my favorite book!

Just how everything flowed. Ella's stubborn character never waivered. It was extremely charming how every character was unique. The giants were tall and ridiculously narrow, the elves were child's height with green skin, and the ogres with their oily voice...

I got all excited about the upcoming movie based on the book only to discover they completely changed the whole plot. I've even considered boycotting the movie if I wasn't so curious as to how it'll turn out (though the summary I read made me cringe)

Write a story that'll be treasured just like it. This is the book that inspired me to dust off an old short story fairy tale I wrote and makes plans to turn it into a novel. Everytime I get stuck or think "I don't want to do this anymore" I just flip through the book and I'm inspired to keep going!

Inspired! Did I not say that above? And it had me smiling at some of the cute parts, chuckling at some silly parts, and getting upset for Ella when everything turned sour on her!

Is... inspiring! She writes the kind of books I've always wanted to write, the ones that stick with you for years after you've read them, the ones you can't get out of your mind.

It's one of the most charming books I've ever read, my favorite book ever, even though it's written for ten year olds. It can still be appreciated by all ages!

Haha, I don't recommend this book? I don't know... because you won't enjoy it if you have poor taste in literature? Oh wait, even then you'd enjoy it. This book is the best! Ok, I'll admit, the scenery wasn't the greatest. The author described places once, briefly, and expected you to remember for the rest of the book.

If you're not going to buy it, drive down to your library and check it out. If that doesn't make you want to add this book to your collection, then you should probably have your head examined,
