Summary of this CDs & Vinyl...
This is probably the most unique collection of music I have ever heard. The Afro Celts blend together African rhythmes, Irish lyrics, and techno beats together into an intoxicating, creative, inspiring mix. I have heard Irish music melded together with an African "flavor" (and vice versa), but I had never heard them both blended together with techno until I picked up this CD. I was completely blown away. The music on this CD ranges from dark and ethereal, to light and dancing, to dreamy and hypnotic. There's a something for everyone on this album...every song fits a different mood and creates a different atmosphere. After four years of owning this album, I haven't yet tired of it and I still find something new to appreciate.
This type of CDs & Vinyl is good for...
Writing. Everytime I listen to this album, I'm transported to other times and other places - to realms outside of the reality to which I find myself confined. I have created an entire world, an entire plot, an entire novel on this one CD album. It is just that inspiring and I have not found a music album to date that has inspired so much creativity from me.
I especially liked... | ||
The unusual rhythms. One of the most "intoxicatingly catchy" songs on this CD is called "When You're Falling." The first few times I heard it, I didn't really care for the vocals or the beat. But the more I listened to it, the more it got stuck in my head and now, it's possibly one of my favorite tracks. This whole CD is like that. Everytime I listen to it, I fall in love with a different track or a different aspect - it's all so different and unique that I think it would be hard to ever truly "tire" of it.
When I finished n/a this CDs & Vinyl I wanted to...
Get up and dance! To create! To imagine! To day-dream! This music is highly inspiring - when I hear it, there are times when I'm not sure what to do, except just sit there and loose myself in the songs, in the beauty of three distinct styles of music blending into one.
This CDs & Vinyl made me feel...
Alive. There's just no other word for it. I've always lived my life to a sort of "sound track" - I normally don't like having a "silent" room or house. But after a while, I tune out music and become immersed in what I'm doing. "Further In Time" makes me stop and listen, though; it makes me appreciate what I'm doing all that more, which in turn, makes me feel alive. Like I should get up and dance because I feel like I'm just like the music - unique and different and spectacular.
I recommend this CDs & Vinyl because...
It's just that good. I'm very picky about my music, but I love everything the Afro Celts have come out with thus far. "Further In Time" was the first album I came across, though, and so it will always be, in my opinion, the best of all their musical compilations. I recommend "Further In Time" because it really broadened my musical appreciation and I think it can do the same for others. I also think it can inspire others as it has inspired me; it's just a special, wonderful album and I would recommend it to anyone who had even a passing appreciation for music.
