Summary of this DVD... | ||
This is one of Bruce Willi's best movies that I have seen. This is not just a blood and gore movie. This is a movie about the people. The story is that some Navy SEALS are given a mission to rescue four Americans, three religious people and an American by marriage, the lovely Monica Bellucci, who is a doctor who will not leave without her people. The setting is civil war Africa and the mission is to get to Cameroon before the whole mission is slaughtered. They get the doctor on the helicopter after taking about a third of the mission (the able bodied people) out of immediate harms way. The doctor breaks down, having been hoodwinked to get her out of the mission. The men look at each other. They turn around. Then the real adventure begins.
When I finished viewing this DVD I wanted to...
get the soundtrack....it is really good to listen to.
I recommend this DVD because...
For anyone who likes war movies, real life movies, or Bruce Willis movies, this is a winner
I don't recommend this DVD because...
For younger children who don't understand life and death and heavy emotional issues, this is too much.
Further Comments... | ||
The director's cut, with the director talking through the movie, is worth seeing at least once. You get a whole lot of background information that really enriches an already great movie for a very special experience.
