Tara Flynn is set mainly in Ballygrace, a small village in Ireland, in the 1950s. The story is about Tara Flynn and her two best friends. The story explores the class distinctions between the rich and poor.

The story also deals with strict Catholic upbringing the three friends tried to obey as they struggled through their teens.

I chose this book for entertainment and a look at a different time and culture.

I especially liked how easy it was to identify and feel empathy for the characters.

I wanted to read more by this author.
