This book has an interesting premise. The character discovers that she is a "Nobody".

Every normal person in the world receives and transmits energy from other people. But some people are born 'wrong'. If they can send energy but not receive energy ("Nulls"), they can easily impose their will on others... manipulative, no empathy... sociopaths.

Those who can receive but not transmit energy are Nobodies. They cannot have any effect on other people at all. They're ignored. People look right past them. They make excellent assassins for a super secret society of people who can sense this energy... "sensors".

I'd say it's good for people who like the author. And maybe those who think the premise sounds cool?

The ideas were interesting. The characters were pretty cool. But really, this whole premise had some kinks that needed to be worked out. I continuously found myself thinking "But, if they can't effect other people, how did X happen?"

There was also a fair bit of romance (boring) and more description than I care for.

To be honest, I didn't finish the book. I read like 3/4 of it, and it was due back at the library. I may finish it but won't lose any sleep over NOT finishing it. It was sorta interesting, but the plot was boring and obvious. So really, I get the concept and premise of the book without finishing it, and that was the likable part.
