Summary of this Book...
The Creative Habit: Learn It and Use It For Life by Twyla Tharp This book was our book club choice for the month. It is a kick-ass book that inspires and gets you up and doing your creative habit. To be successful as a creative person you need to develop habits that get you primed to get to work. You can't sit around and wait for inspiration, you need to get to it. She is a dance choreographer and one of her habits is to get up early each morning and get ready to work out. She goes down and hails a cab and give the address of her gym. Once she has given the address there is no turning back. Those are the kind of habits you need to develop that set things in motion. You do what works for you and in doing so you set an intention to get to work. Although this book is written by a dance choreographer, it is not only for dancers. It is for all creatives. Each of us needs a way to enter into that creative space each day. Habits help to set that in motion.
