Summary of this Book...
Taken from Amazon -

In the shadows of the night in Caldwell, New York, there's a deadly turf war going on between vampires and their slayers. There also exists a secret band of brothers like no other - six vampire warriors, defenders of their race. Among them, none relishes killing their enemies more than Wrath, the leader of the Black Dagger Brotherhood...

The only pure-bred vampire left on the planet, Wrath has a score to settle with the slayers who murdered his parents centuries ago. But when one of his most trusted fighters is killed - orphaning a half-breed daughter unaware of her heritage or her fate - Wrath must usher the beautiful female into the world of the undead...

Racked by a restlessness in her body that wasn't there before, Beth Randall is helpless against the dangerously sexy man who comes to her at night with shadows in his eyes. His tales of brotherhood and blood frighten her. But his touch ignites a dawning hunger that threatens to consume them both...
This type of Book is good for...
I thought it'd be good for those of us that like reading about vampires. And it is, kind-of, but if you like the raunchier side of vampires. The sort of story where vampires mate, and the female vampire goes through a period of "Needing", which is like being on heat, and therefore is just full of non-stop sex. So, if you want an erotic vampire read, this one is for you.
I especially liked...
The "Brotherhood" story. Why they're together, what their purpose is, most of the action scenes. Yeah, the sex scenes were good, but I preferred the fighting and the action.
I didn't like...
The names of the brothers. They had names like "Wrath", "Tohrment", "Zsadist", "Phury". (No, I didn't spell them wrong). It seemed a little bit cheesy to me. I rolled my eyes each time a new character with an incorrectly but correctly spelled name appeared.
When I finished reading this Book I wanted to...
Read the next one, surprisingly. When I started it, I thought I wouldn't carry on. Too much sex, not enough action, but it won me over.
Further Comments...
Since reading this one, I've gone on to read books 2 and 3, which I'll review shortly, but it's tough to try and split these books up in my head.

If you were to start this series, I'd warn you about the graphic sex. If that's not something you're into, don't read this.

I'd also say don't get too attached to the characters. Of the 3 books I've read, each one has followed a different brother finding a mate. So, whilst the other character do feature occasionally, you barely see them. For example, the main character, "Beth", in this book, is mentioned once, twice if you're lucky, in book 2.
