Summary of this Book...
Bruno is a police dog and its handler/policeman is Russell. Bruno attacks a terrorist named Hassan and Hassan kills the dog. In Heaven, God grants human life for three months to Bruno but inside the body of Hassan. If Bruno succeeds to find the answer to the question, what is the meaning of life, he will be given a full human life. To comply with God’s wishes and to find out the answer to that question, Bruno travels to India. Russell, learning that Hassan who killed his beloved dog is still alive, goes after him. There are many characters in the book, relationship, quirkiness of action, and several twists and turns in the plot.

First, I want to say that I have no problem with this author's goodwill. I am quite sure he meant well.

As to the story, the premise is okay as well as the plot itself, except for subplots that don’t relate to the central plot. The story, therefore, meanders unnecessarily, making several areas of it totally irrelevant. I also thought that the author had little experience with creating fiction. One could overlook some of those things if it weren’t for the idea of why this book was written.

In my opinion, this book is written with the purpose of guiding the readers toward becoming spiritual seekers and especially toward Sikhism.

What I had a problem with is, within the story, this author’s putting down almost all religions to the point of disrespect for other beliefs, other than what the Sikhs hold dear, but that becomes evident to the reader only toward the end of the book.

In the earlier sections, we see Bruno who stepped up from being a dog to a man searching for enlightenment. The original search idea given to him was the meaning of life. During the search it lost its core and became the search for seemingly noble ideas like the truth, happiness, etc. Thus, a whole slew of haughty advice towered over the story. Moreover, again in my opinion, the philosophical views in the book are clichés that can be found on the internet through a Google search. Since the story reads like a quirky action story from the beginning, a reader may not notice its long-range goal.

There are also a few problems with the development of characters. While they are mostly cliché characters, they change suddenly when it fits the author’s agenda.

As to the telling of the story, clichés take over here, too, with most of the story being told in stale phrases.

Worse yet, is the author's habit of needlessly mixing past and present tenses in a few places.

I didn't like...
the idea of pushing Sikhism on readers under the cover up of telling a story.
The n/a of this Book...
is Barry Cheema who studied music in Punjab University, Chandigarh, India. This is his only book.
I don't recommend this Book because...
What this book is really about is not mentioned before a reader buys the book. Only talking about its plot means nothing. If a book is written to change minds or indoctrinate, that should be told beforehand.
Further Comments...
This book has a lot of five stars given by other readers. I guess it is because people like lofty ideas, stale though they may be.

In my opinion, if someone is writing a story with an agenda, that agenda has to be told about in the ads for the book. I don't like to be subjected to any author's brainwashing tactics.
