I'm currently studying English Literature, Geography and History A-Levels in sixth form and awaiting going to university to study English Literature in September. Literature is the joy of my life and I have been inspired by so many writers to take up the pen (or keyboard) myself. I may not be a fantastic writer, but I enjoy it.
I am yet to discover, but most probably modern social commentaries.
Theatre, films, books, poetry.
Romantic, Victorian, Shakespearian, Post-Modern.
Any Austen, but my favourite is 'Persuasion', 'Dorian Gray' 'Jane Eyre' 'Enduring Love' 'Atonement' 'North and South' 'The Hand That First Held Mine'
Jane Austen and Oscar Wilde are my heroes, closely followed by Elizabeth Gaskell, Charlotte Brontë, Ian McEwan and Maggie O'Farrell.
Auden, Duffy, Heaney, Shakespeare, Wilde, Dillan Thomas.
It should be 'quotation', given that 'quote' is the verb and this is a site dedicated to writing. Continuing the pedantic theme, my favourite quotation is 'A poet can survive anything but a misprint.'
Rock, alternative, indie, folk, soul, techno, metal to some extent, chillout, classical, vocal, BritRap, pop.
'Breakfast at Tiffany's', 'An Affair to Remember', 'Atonement', 'The History Boys', 'Enduring Love'.
