Yep. The recuperation period is essential. The do's like walking, the don'ts like no driving. You seem prepared. I have 42 steps so I'd be bound to pacing this floor.
I tend to write when I'm bored and not traveling. I could catch up on that (which is what I've been doing this past week).
You don't mention the procedure but we have a wonderful place in town that puts in stents. I may need to have that done.
My neighbor, Jay, has had a pacemaker for years. He's young and has no choice so off to Seattle (11 hour drive) to get a new battery or something. He also got new teeth (full mouth replacement) and that has improved his quality of life. He's lived with the prospect of a short life for many years. He's a leather-worker. I wrote this for him:
My sister was playing two doors down and a hammock came down on her head and put a hole in it. Blood gushing everywhere. Our next door neighbor was fortunately visiting my mother (my mother never let anyone in!) and they took her to the doctor who lived at the corner of the main road and the street. He shaved off some hair and took care of it.
Nice post. I love geraniums but kill them as I water too much, I believe. They need a dryer pot and I also watch that my husband does water them when they look a little dryer than other plants. I am also guilty leaving the removals in the pot. So, learn something here. With yellow jackets, if they remain, go back to YOu Tube as they have several videos regarding that pest.
...From the tintinnabulation that so musically wells
From the bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells, bells
From the jingling and the tinkling of the bells...
(Phil Ochs)
...Ding, dong, ding, dong
That is their song
With joyful ring
All caroling...

My inquiring mind is itching to know how the family meal went. I have a nephew who traditional does this broil on New Year’s Day. I was there once. No sides. I loved the potatoes and corn. I don’t like fish. I did eat lobster once in Mexico after drinking enough wine to give it no identifiable taste other than the taste of the dripping butter I dipped it in.
Hi! I am tracker. have been reading your blog tonight. I am to send you a badge in the birthday badge exchange. I don’t believe I have seen you around so came over to see what’s cookin’
Squirrels don't like daffodils either. We used to plant them next to the tulips to keep the furry tails from digging them up. We also had wisteria that would spread everywhere and it would send roots underground and quickly pop up nearby if we didn't pay attention.
It's amazing how many little flyers there are to come by for a visit and maybe a snack, but they leave the plants intact.
I remember having a garden. These days I just have houseplants and one lonely portulaca that came up by seed and has bloomed this past week. I've been "home" for three months and the plants have responded well. But, I long for Thailand.
I water often. Montana is mostly hot and dry in the Summer.
I am going to go through with the heart procedure. It will be four, possibly 5 days in hospital. One week of no driving. Four weeks of limited activity. No exercising, jogging, climbing steps unnecessarily, no carrying groceries, no lifting anything heavy, including wet laundry. I am encourage to walk each day, making small increments in time or distance, slowly and gently.
So I am already planning my advance shopping-gallons of distilled water, for instance. I will have the on the upper floor of my split level home, instead of the garage, the in-between level. I have people to call and to check in with me after the deed is done.
I have already marked the calendar in my choir room, so they know when I will not be at practice or in Sunday service. I will be absent from WDC as well for the hospital stay. When I can't clean house or run errands, maybe I'll write more.
