Simply Me Thanks for the input. Yes, I do remember that egg-shaped container and that goo. I didn't like it all that much, though, at the time. It felt weird in my hands, but I did love the comics. I couldn't have enough of them.
Who knows, maybe newspapers may come back. Na probably not.
I sold newspaper advertising for a few years. Out of the blue the paper used for print became gross. The owner had no choice in the quality of it because that new product was the only product available due to the fact that previous paper producer went bankrupt.
I don't miss the ink getting on my hands. I miss the comics in the Sunday editions though.
Off topic: Do you have memories of "flubber" (the stretching goo that came in an egg) and comics? You flattened the flubber on a comic and it would transfer the picture to the goo and you could make it funnier.
"Too many candles on my cake" My daughter put 70 candles on mine that year. lol NO more just use the thick single numbers. haha I like your new blog picture.
