Very well said, Sue. I agree with life is satisfying once we stop focusing on other's happiness and instead of focusing on ourselves. It was a difficult lesson but one that changed my life.

Oh Wow! I wasn't expecting you to put God as our business partner at the end. I was too busy getting mad at the man in the story who kept the 100%.
Great story plot, btw. You certainly zeroed in on the man's ingratitude effectively. I guess, we all experience a bit of that ingratitude at one time or another in our lives. A big Ooops!

Loss and Pain

Let death yodel with all it's force
Let fate keeps on changing it's course
Matter Will never win over mind
Though people like you are hard to find
I know your loss has made us arid
Disaster all around and we are amid
As if captives and the cages are locked
Banging the heads and running amok
Moving in darkness till the brink
With bleeding hearts ready to sink
Such earnest pain is hard to find
Only those suffer who are left behind
Death is a scourge for hearts that beat
With those who die we wait to meet
We have to wait in the world insane
Till life is exhaled and we meet again
And you are there in Elysium I know
Let death yodel with all it's glow!!!
