It has been a while. There has been a lot of struggles but the writing never stops. Anyone wanna chat? We can talk about the struggles of being a writer.
I've added a new item to my portfolio:
Invalid Item Open in new Window.

So, what I like to do with my writing is use as minimum amounts of research possible by making my own worlds. It makes writing more interesting with the lack of restrictions. It's even more fun when it's completely in your hands. Although, research is still necessary for some things (babies and drugs right now, for me) it's still easy to chalk it up as "it just isn't that way in this world". HAPPY WRITING EVERYONE! May your Muse not abandon you!

yeah, sometimes it's just fun to write what you know *Smile*
The all time big secret to writing. Lol. I'm having fun with it, however.

A poem.
I've added two new items to my portfolio. One is a short story I wrote a long time ago. The other is Chapter 2 of my novel.
Want to move my novel along. It feels I'm either dragging it on or rushing it. I want my readers to stay intrigued yet not get bored. This is the most challenging project yet. Any tips?

remember that if you're bored, your readers are bored. Make sure that each of your scenes are doing two things at once. In other words, are your scenes helping us know your characters/world better while also moving the plot forward? Make sure you keep the tension up and plant questions in the reader's mind, promising to answer them in the end. But most importantly, keep writing.
I hope this helps.
Just posted the first chapter of my novel. Took a lot of time and quite a few rewrites to make it better. Please give it a look? I would love to hear some feedback!
Have been getting writers block. Any one have an idea on how to be "unblocked"?

exercise or reading books usually works, but it's different for everyone
Thanks! I'll try some exercise!
