I just want to let my friends know that I won't be on the site for awhile. I've run into my own health issues that I have to take care of. It doesn't leave me much time for writing, or anything else for that matter. Hopefully this will be resolved in the next few weeks. I miss reading everyone's work and the great "chatter." I will catch up later. Take care. |
I want to thank everyone for the birthday wishes. It has meant a lot to me. I want to apologize for not being on here this past week. Seems it was my turn to end up in ER earlier in the week, with a kidney stone of all things! Never had one before so I never knew how painful and debilitating it could be. After heavy pain meds, they said I was the "lucky one" because they think I passed it on my own without surgery, but the cramping and pain continues as the kidney "heals itself" from what they call "tearing inside." (Ouch!) Once I get through this, I don't ever want to go through this again. Drinking lots of lemon water to try and flush everything. This has been an interesting summer so far! I better get to smiling. |
I would like to say hi to the friends I've made on WC. I've been absent the last three weeks and it's been a crazy one. I apologize I just haven't had the time or the internet to be on here so I'm glad I'm back home and things can start getting back to "normal." (Whatever that is) We moved north for the summer to get out of the Florida heat. I spent a week with my mother who appreciates my coming around to help her get a few things done that she can't do any more. My husband and I then had a two week vacation with our grown children and grandchildren. It was a first time event having everyone together. They are all so spread out that we don't see them so much any more and surely not all at once. So this was our "family reunion." I'm always amazed how quickly time flies. The grandkids growing so fast, but we also had three new babies born last year so the the family continues to grow. The time was amazing and yet my heart ached as I realize the seasons of life continue to fly by and change. Then my husband ended up in the emergency room and then the heart hospital with A-fib. I never knew anything about that until it happened. Though it was scary to us, the hospital personnel and physicians said it was quite normal. No kidding!? I never left his side in the hospital and I read everything on the internet about A-fib. After "hitting him" with 200 joules of electricity, they got his heart back in rhythm. (Yes he was asleep). He's on meds for a short while but hopefully this won't happen again. I feel tired, with everything this past three weeks has brought to us but I'm so glad to be back on here. Please bear with me as I catch up on email. There's a lot in there and I promise to get through it quickly over the next couple of days. I hope everyone had a wonderful Fourth of July and that you are all healthy and happy. Chasing Worms |
Well, I'm giving everyone I know a heads up. My time on here for the next couple of weeks will be slim to nothing. Going to be on the road and even though I may be writing a few thoughts on paper, my internet connections will be minimal. But I promise when we have "landed" and I have full internet again, I will be putting some of those written thoughts on my blog or writing a story about them. I hope everyone has a great holiday weekend and be safe. |
