Lesson Learned: To ruin a harddrive beyone repair it takes getting rid of Windows installing Ubuntu and then reversing that decision several times if one doesn't have sufficient knowlege in using Linux.

2nd Lesson Learned: It is best not to line up all the computers in the house and simultaneously do the same fix to all computers when you don't know what you're doing.

Computers totally unusable, and most likely I'll continue to be offline for a couple of more months until new hard drives are bought and delivered.
Oh no! that is horrible! Good luck on the hard drives. Hope they get to you soon. How many computers are we talking about? Here goes the money at Christmas.
