A Tribute on May Day(May 1st) Beneath the sun and sky so wide, Walk the hands that time can’t hide. Not crowned in gold, nor wrapped in fame Yet every stone recalls their name. They till the soil, they weld the steel, They shape the dreams that nations feel. With every brick and bridge they raise, They gift the world its better days. Their backs bend, their palms bleed But still they meet the hour’s need. Through factory hum or furnace glow, Their quiet strength continues to grow. Not for glory, not for praise, But for a child’s and country’s days. They labor on while empires sleep, Their worth runs silent, vast, and deep. So on this day, we light a flame To every hand without a name. May justice guard their rightful due, And may the world stand up for you. |
