| I received word from Winnie Kay just now that Katzendragonz passed away yesterday. Katzendragonz left Writing.com a year or so ago when she found out she had cancer. She was at peace about meeting her Maker and seeing Jesus face to face. We will miss her dearly. All those who studied at New Horizons Academy know that it was her pride and joy, and she was meticulous in her care of it. She was a kind, God-fearing lady, and a good friend. I will miss her. |
Pat ~ Rejoice always!   , maybe we can one day soon bring back some of Sarah's favorite instructors and classes. Do we know if her case is going white? |

| Our dear friend Katzendragonz is near the end of her journey with breast cancer. She is at peace and is looking forward to meeting Jesus face to face. I’m sure many of you, as I do, remember and appreciate the work she did to make New Horizons Academy the top notch place for young writers to hone their skills. I will truly miss her but I am thankful that she is at peace. |
Wait, what?   I had no idea. I'm so sorry to hear this. Sarah was a true force to be reckoned with at NHA. She's also part of "The Snail Mail Group" and I'll pass the news on to the other members. Thank you so much for letting us know, Pat.  |
| Hi, dear friends! I just dropped by to check my mail and say hello to everyone. I’ve missed you all. This has been a challenging year for me. It was this time of year that I was told that I needed to get hospice involved with the care of my husband. It was three months to the day after he went on hospice that he left us for his Heavenly Home. The Lord has kept me busy growing and healing. I’ve become a full-time caregiver for my sister, whom I love dearly. I love all of you and miss you so much. Hopefully, I can become more involved soon. |
| I know I’ve not been around much lately, but don’t forget me. On March 6th, I lost my sweet, gentle husband of thirty years due to dementia. I’ve started on a new journey in my life, which is always a scary thing because I now face so many unknowns. I couldn’t bear it without my God of love and compassion and strength. I hope that I can once again participate in WdC activities and write again, focusing on improving my story-writing skills. Thank you all for your support. I’m creeping along down this new journey and can see progress already. |
| My sweet husband of thirty years left this earth and it’s sorrow and pain this morning to be with our Lord and Savior. I was blessed to be next to him, holding his hand, when he took his last breath. We had been blessed with time together these last few weeks to talk of Heaven and and the comfort we shared in knowing that Jesus was waiting for him with open arms. |
| Hi, everyone. I’ve been somewhat absent the last few weeks. In late October, my husband and I went to my sister’s house to care for her as she recovered from pneumonia. While there, my husband contracted aspiration pneumonia and became septic. He was in ICU for a couple of days, and things looked really dicey. It is especially dangerous because it is caused by aspirating stomach content into the lungs. This is the fourth occurrence in the past year or so. I learned that it is one of the top two causes of death in otherwise healthy dementia patients. His prognosis is that he will continue to get worse. Please pray for him and for me, as his caregiver. There are a thousand decisions and choices to make going forward. It’s especially difficult and scary for me as he becomes less and less capable of making decisions for himself. |
Help! I’ve been arrested on false charges! Please bail me out at "LUCKY BONES GAME 2022" . It’s dark and dank, and I cannot tell you just how bad the food is. I’m needed at The WdC Soup Kitchen, The Mentoring Program at the Newbie Rec Center, The Volunteer Counseling Program for those who have PTSD after spending time in the horrid conditions of this Whoosegow, and several other volunteer programs I haven’t made up yet er… that are too many to name.  You can see what a good and kind person I am. HELP! |
| I am not sure if I can bail someone out of hell jail, whilst incarcerated myself, not on false charges but from doing a good dead. ::humph:: I think we need to elicit some help from those not in the slammer. RICH has lots of gps to spare. |
