To Spring: I mostly think I just rushed to get a chapter update and didn't really think it through enough. After giving it a day I feel I could have written something better that led to more options, and probably have it be more interesting? Not sure if I make sense. But eh, what's done is done. Will work with what I have available.
BTW, let me show you how to tag folks for future reference. See how you got a notification of a tag and when you clicked it, it took you here? (Or maybe you came here via the email notification, but you also got a green tag notification in your Notifications and clicking that will also bring you here. )
To tag folks, first you need to know their USERNAME. It's the name you see when you mouse over their name. So, my handle says "Schnujo misses Eyestar," but if you mouse over my handle, you'll see it just says "Schnujo." If you mouse over "Spring in my Sox," you'll see it says Rinsoxy. Schnujo and Rinsoxy are our usernames. Our handles can change any time we want. (Let me know if you need instructions on how to change yours.) But our username generally doesn't change.
Do note that when you change your handle, it's a good idea to leave some part of your username so folks can find you. I always start with Schnujo so that you can not only identify me, but you can find me easily in the alphabetized Messenger list. Rinsoxy always has something to do with sox in her handle, so while she might appear in different places on the Messenger list, she's still always easily recognizable. People change their handle to reflect life events, moods, support for things, holidays, etc. Have fun with it.
Anyway, there are 3 main ways to tag a person so they get notified. This allows you to bring another person into a conversation (on the Newsfeed, not email) as well. When you comment, everyone who has previously commented will get a notification (unless they've unchecked the box to turn off the notifications). But say I want to tell you about a person's contest, but I can't recall the contest name and want to bring them into the conversation to ask them, I can tag them and they will get a tag notification so they know to click on the link and come see what we are saying about them.
It also ensures the person you are talking to knows you are talking to them, even if they unchecked to box so they wouldn't get more notifications. Tagging Ugly Christmas Sox and I in your response would have been a perfect use for tagging to ensure we saw your responses to us.
Using the username (not the handle), you can tag in one of these 3 common ways...
{user:schnujo} = Schnujo's NOT Doing NaNoWriMo
{suser:schnujo} = Schnujo's NOT Doing NaNoWriMo
{huser:schnujo} = Schnujo's NOT Doing NaNoWriMo
I hope this helps!
