With my son finally back at school, I have motivation to do the things. Why does he wreck that just by being home?
Has anyone tried communicating these issues with these guys? Not that I'm a great listener, but I hear some men are.

When you call the health office for your son, and of all their robotic phone options, primary care is not listed - so you just pick a number and ask to be transferred. #HeathFail
That sounds like a programming fail as well, which unfortunately frops up in health care systems due to IT funding issues in that industry. (See this YouTube video for an additional example: https://youtu.be/LZM9YdO_QKk?si=0iS8bKsKUk2qhPtF)
So many habits go much deeper when you practice every day. It's music. It's writing. It's probably every art you've ever attempted. How much art can I sink into my every-damn-day procedures? That is the question I'm finding my way through lately.
Wannabe https://www.scientificamerican.com/article/how-long-does-it-really-take-to-form-... I had the habit for 13 years. I'm working to get it back. Life got in the way for a while.
My son is feeling fatigue, possibly associated with a med change. I'm calling it alternative learning today because I'm letting him take apart my old laptop/tablet and change the battery. It started with one screw, then he's like, oh, I can do this. Let me do this. So I'm letting him. He's attentive, careful, and focused. I love seeing his brain work like this.
When there are too many choices, how do you narrow it down? I'm working on ways, but it is not easy.
I tell myself to make the least stupid decision with the best information available. And if the best information is somehow less than reassuring for some reason I've made up in my head with a "what if" scenario, I then ask, "is the outcome of the least stupid decision fatal?" and "is it reversible or changeable?" and "how much does this matter in the next 3 months?" Spoiler: almost always no, yes, and not very. And when the second is yes, the third is not a problem, really. Best being "reliable source", not "research it to death."
Jayne Mine is usually "I don't want to put in THAT much effort" - and solutions quickly whittle themselves down. Lol If it's down to two or so - flip a coin. You'd be surprised how often you "hope" it lands on one side or the other.
