Send focus. I have a list and I'm motivated.
December happened when I wasn't looking.

Today is the midpoint in Novel November. Oh, maybe we can just call it NoNo! How're your projects doing? How's your mental health?

I have to get ready for work but the cat settled on my foot and he's purring... which is awesome for keeping me here to write but terrible for actually, you know, getting off to work.

I've barely made 50k and my goal is 60k. 10 more chapters at two pages each. I can't afford to skip days.
I *HeartRainbow* yoga.
While I have a broken toe, I'm wondering what else I did to my foot. The bruising pattern is a bit... uh... telling that the one diagnosed issue isn't the only one. *Bandage*

Whoops! What DID you do to your foot?
Shanachie Author Icon - I wish I knew. But it hurts in more than just the place where I broke the toe.
Storm Machine Author Icon - Oh that sucks. Hope it feels better soon.
I need some lists in my life. And possibly a cohort.

What do you need a cohort for?
Shanachie Author Icon - I'm working into a part of life where I would like some peer support, therefore a cohort. I'm willing to reciprocate. It's just a matter of figuring out the goals I want to get to and which direction I'm going in.
Storm Machine Author Icon - Always willing to be a member of your cohort. *Smile*
I would love a non-Amazon way to check all the used book stores online to find a book.

Sprints? Kidding there has to be a way. Google.
I vaguely remember Bookshop.org having something like that. I'd need to double check.
Got a review of a piece I'd forgotten I'd written. I really ought to look at my port more often.

Tonight I'm reading Poser, my life in twenty-three poses, by Claire Dederer. I think I needed perspective for the chapter I just read. It makes me more thoughtful than it did when I first picked up the book years ago.

That happens to me all of the time. Between all of the different poems and random contest entries over the past 20 years, I cannot remember what is in my port.
On a related note, thanks for this:

You can't edit a blank page. This comes back to me when I think about writing, about editing, about anything related to creation.

Right now it's a resume. My page isn't blank and it isn't covered with little scribbles about how much I hate the process. This is winning. ISH.

That is progress. I am not looking forward to facing my resume. Need to start working again soon and I was never good at writing them as I just view them as basic lists of the past jobs and such.

Good luck. I know you can do it.
You can't edit a blank page? Allow me to introduce you to margin manipulation.
I don't want to work today. But I will.

However, the best news is that my brain is a little on fire with different, new projects that I want to pursue.
I need a dose of Star Trek, stat. Please, remind me we're one human race.

Dawn Embers Author Icon - I guess we will have to keep at it. One day it might stick. *Fingerscrossed*
Every time we go to Dave & Busters (yesterday), I play the Star Trek game trying to get Tribble cards. Think of those cute fur balls and replicate that cuteness until you can’t stand it!

Dawn Embers Author Icon - I think part of the reason this hasn't always worked is covered in "Let's ScrollOpen in new Window.. (There are other components as well, but I could write a whole thesis on it, which won't quite work here.)
