Hello all. Had a bit of a setback, but still here. Feeling like I was lost in the Aether recently, but I've got the velocitor refueled now, and hope to be catching up to Spartacus Kane soon. The Pandora has been resupplied, and am headed back to assist Miss Puryear in getting her airship ready for the skies. SEE YOU SOON!
So, my world changed in April...to say the least, lol. to make a long story short, avoiding all the yada yada, I had a stroke on April 15th, which has left me in a wheelchair. I've worked my way through the depression, and now realize I can spend time doing what I wasn't able to find enough time for before. I've recovered the use of my left hand now, so I could type again...and now just write on a tablet...so, don't even need the hand. But at least I'll be writing again. I will be working on getting back in the swing, and will be trying to write for a source of income in the future. I do have a request, though...for anyone who reads this. I need to restart my game...the rules are simple: 1. Look around you, and pick out three items. 2. Send a list of the three items to me, and tell me what genre you enjoy most. 3. I will write a short story and return it to your mailbox, making an effort to make you happy with the result. I will also try to get my account back up and running at full steam ASAP, for anyone who might be interested in Dr. Gloriosky's files and how they have changed lives. New chapter, New life...hope to hear from someone soon...thank you for your participation as I get this all in gear!
WOW! What a horribly difficult thing to have endured, and yet, here you are on the other side, stronger for it--maybe not physically, but clearly mentally! You're a man who deserves the greatest respect! I truly admire you and your attitude, though I'm sure it took a lot of work to get this far.
Because of my brain injury from Iraq, I tend to not read much, so I won't be sending you a list of words for a story, but I do with you luck and admire how far you've come! You're amazing!
Hi, there, sorry to hear ear about your illness, but so pleased you feel you can get back on the saddle even though you’re holding on with one hand.
I enjoy writing character driven stories, I appreciate good natural dialogue and a twist in the tail (tale)
Well looking around me as I lie in my bed readying for sleep here in Australia the bedside clock reads 22.54, so that’s my first of the three objects. As I look through the white wooden shutters out into the darkness I see the moon. It’s not full as it’s waning now but the eucalyptus trees are silhouetted against it. That’s number two.
The closet door is ajar, perhaps I should get out of bed and close it, because who knows might be lurking there?
Good luck.
Cheers Sue
Okay buddy here is a challenging assignment. A half full coffee cup and expensive leather notebook on the desk. Two items. Third item is a gray tabby cat snoozing away in his bed near my desk. Turn that into a political thriller and God’s speed with your recovery. I think you have come up with a healthy idea here.
Back in Texas after the stroke, I fell ill with a stomach bug and ended up back in a hospital. Fortunately, the doctors here are helping me continue my rehabilitation efforts. I've started moving my left foot today, independent of the rest of the leg. One never realizes how simple things like that can have an effect on their attitude.
In short, cherish everything in your life, even the simplest of things.
Thanks to everyone who has read anything I've written. I have an update for what is going in in my life. It looks like my days of bedside nursing are over. On April 15th of this year, I had a stroke which has left me in a wheelchair for the time being and with limited use of my left arm. So. The upside is that I now absolutely have the time to write. So as I progress, I invite those I've interacted with in the past to look in on Dr. Gloriosky and the others as we move forward(and back) along our timeline...Salutations to all!
