Wow, where has the time gone? A lot has happened, and much more is going on now. What a busy year this is and will be. Currently, we are living in our fifth wheel, and have been since Thanksgiving, in our driveway, while we finish packing up the house and adding some final fixes before selling. Our goal is to be ready to sell by this March. After which we hope to move to a trailer park for just a couple of months while we get all the finances in order and fet preapproved for a house loan. Then to find a new home a few hours south of us, closer to his best friend. Once that is done, it is moving time again....im beginning to dislike this more and more. Once tje new house is set up, i will put in for a transfer. Then this September, the hubby will retire. While all of this is going on, we are working fulltime and yes, i am still quilting. I even set up a small sewing area in the trailer. Internet is getting tricky so i am reviewing from my phone these days. What are you up to?
Help! I have someone who wants to join, but I cant remember how to send a referral
Jen, you can scroll to the bottom of your port where it reads Site Links. The first link is Refer a Member. Click on it. There is a link for you to copy and send to your friend who will use it to access your port. Then s/he should select Sign Up at the top of the page. (Or if you’re together, Link back to your port and have your friend use SIGN UP at the top right of the page.)
It has been a while since I had been around these hallowed halls for any length of time. I have been back lately and left a few emails and reviews. I have been working long hours over the past couple of years, sometimes 100 hours a week or more, and that has now slowed down. I have returned to a slower work life and am thankful to have done so. I am still quilting and living out my fairytale here with my husband of 7 years. We are down to 1 dog here now, but have added feeding our neighborhood squirrels as part of our daily routine. This has lead to squirrels knocking on the porch door looking for peanuts and then them fighting with the blue jays to keep them.
So missed seeing you around! Great you are flitting in!
Thanks for your update, dear It's great to see you here again !! I hope you'll be able to stay awhile... Happy New Year ! Gab
Okay, maybe it is lack of participation, but I split a win in the last round I entered, two days ago, for
This time, there are now three of us entered, so we will see how I fare this round. I did write something shorter, but sometimes less is more. Give it up for my latest inspiration, out of the blue, sparked by complete randomness of a quote and a contest:
|
WOW! That hasn't happened in a long time. I wrote a poem. Not only did I write, but it was a poem. I am in shock. To add to the emotion, it was a contest entry. I can't believe it. This was spontaneous and out of nowhere, as so many of my poetry used to be. I just had to share, I was so excited.

And then the phone rang... It was a stranger's voice emanating from an online friend, calling to check on me. Was I alright, what had happened to me, where had I been, and what I had missed. It was a brief conversation, interrupted by the hubby coming home, but it was the spark needed to ignite the fire and bring me out of my stupor. The conversation echoed in my head long after we hung up and I was in bed trying to sleep. What pre-empted the disappearance...the loss of SHERRI GIBSON Physically, things took a turn due to my own stupidity and I began medical treatments and then stopped since I knew what was needed better than the doctors. They wanted me to undergo surgery and I knew it wasn't needed. Then things at worked changed. My schedule turned upside down and amidst that, I lost access to my computer. I then went in search of a new laptop. (I did stay online thru my phone, but only accessed the site a time or two through there. I couldn't stand to be here any longer. It was like sinking into a quagmire of sand each time I logged in) I switched from nights to days, then days back to nights, then intermixed both, changing each week and nothing was consistent. Then add in a baby granddaughter in the mix, here with us every other weekend, quilting and spending time with the hubby, and my days filled up. Carol St. Ann 20yrs (06-26) Thank you to each and every one of you. I feel blessed that you noticed my departure, inquired and followed up. I am well and will be slowly moving back in to settle in again. Thank you for your patience and understanding.
It's sooo good to hear from you, my dear friend. I'd missed you for so long. I'm glad that someone knew how to find you. I'm so sorry for all you've suffered. You know you have friends who could have comforted you, but I also know how sadness and depression can put up walls around you to keep you from sharing your grief. I know that full well. I'm so glad you're back! Pat
What a great moment this is, dear friend. I know you have times when you're busy with family. I hoped this was one of those. When I read your letter today, I don't know why I didn't think of your very special friendship with Sherri and the many ways you've helped her over the years. You remind us all how important our friendships are. I'm so glad a few friends were able to call you. Thank you, Carol and Lyn for making those calls. We are blessed to have a dear, very special, much appreciated member of our W.Com family back here again where she belongs Warmest best, Gab
I've added a new entry to my book, "Invalid Item" : "Invalid Entry" Come see the latest idea and follow to see what comes next. I am hoping to finish this up in the next few days. At which point I turn my attention on to a project for the Angel Army. |

I hope everything goes well and you find peace and
happiness in your new surroundings. Much love...
long time no hear! My bad. I had to step out and take care of life for awhile myself. But I came back and saw your name, and I always loved your reviews, so I thought I'd say hello! Hugs my friend!
