What a great opening hook! The entire chapter had me intrigued from the first sentence and made me want to keep reading to figure out what was going on. The pacing moved along at a great clip with no lags and the action sequences were phenomenal. Carter is a very well developed and interesting character and I look forward to reading more of his adventures.
