Very sincere, very touching. The tangibility of the relationship shown, including the references to irritating traits and habits, make the sincerity of the message at the end much more potent.

It's funny how you can think about a loved one and remember the things that at one point were quite annoying, and look back on them fondly.

I have to say I really enjoyed this. I was enthralled, and I am confident that you have good potential for writing short fiction.
However, there are some noticeable little errors in spelling and grammar, and some parts of the story where the writing seems a little rushed.
Now this is not to say that this work is poor, what I mean is that I think you could significantly improve this work by checking through it a couple of times (and maybe throwing in a space or two between paragraphs).

I sincerely hope you follow this up with a sequel (please let me know if you do), as I believe you have a good talent for marrying supernatural themes with psychological ones.

Heartwarming and cute, although as this is in the 'Horror' section, I was expecting some gratuitous violence and gore towards the end. Now, don't get me wrong, I'm not disappointed. This story actually brought a little smile to my face, which is a hell of a lot more than most of the bland, pretentious 'Horror' stories that I read have managed.
For this I thank you, and your little squirrel friend :)

Good use of imagery. But far too short to even get a handle on what going on! Evidently, that is not the point of the story, and what you aim to do, I beleive, is to bring the reader right into the characters shoes, and you do this superbly. You should follow this up with something longer, I'd read it.
