I absolutely love the way you have used 'the grand swan' and 'the chess pawn'. I wish these two could have been used together. Brilliant! Could you review my latest work if you could? Seems like you have been using this platform for a long time. Thank you.
A well-thought analogy of a human and an island. The desolation and isolation both are captured very well. The end signifies that you love loneliness but you love making memories too. My personal favorite is this, 'I do not demand that you anchor down' - brilliantly captures the mind state of how you are not needy yet you will love if someone knocks.
It was really well written! I love how well you have blended the art of history with this work. The flow seems so natural - almost feels like you know Al-Maarri. Like you know the way he feels or thinks. True work at heart!
I just figured there might be one mistake. If I quote this, 'Even if, his enemies would've loved to seen him seared,
no matter what, he will always be revered'
It should be 'would've loved to see him seared' I think.
Good luck! Beautiful work.
