Review of Black Cats  Open in new Window.

Thanks...This Halloween Newsletter was interesting and amusing as well.

Many years ago, we had a black cat named Panther. We got him as an infant kitten; his mom was killed, and the litter left alone to perish. My children took turns bottle feeding him. He grew up with our pet guinea pig, Honey. They were pals until her passing. Then Panther would take off for a few months, and then return to us for an equal amount of time. He would do this often. Then one day he never came back. That cat was sorely missed.

We also had another male cat named Goldie...who always teased and pounced on another beloved female cat in our household named Crystal.

Angel reminded me of these cats. I posted a story here about my beloved cats. I enjoyed both your account on black cats, and Angels cute story.

Thanks again.

Regard and Happy Halloween.

Hugs, Dottie

Review of Tears of My Soul  Open in new Window.

I like this poem. The words flow beautifully. It's sad and emotional, and a true example of faith, trust and hope. Well done!

I would have given it a 5. rating, but, in my opinion, some of the stanzas need evening out. One case in point:
Stagnant is the prison
Air. Numbness claims me.
'Air' should follow prison on that first line. There are others that are similar. The uneveness in some of the lines can be fixed. But, it is your poem, and you can leave it as is. It's touching in any event. I love the phrase:

"And I know that He's still there,
Collecting the tears of my soul."

Keep on writing, author.
