I really enjoyed this piece of writing, although it is short is is still a satisfying read.
I would of liked to learn more about the characters before the story ended, otherwise I did not see the point of introducing any, and giving names.
I love the picture you have created in my mind of their island and their rescue, it is really clever how you have set the scene in a solitude setting (an island) but managed to have the reader imagine an entire world.
This piece of writing reminded me of the television show, Lost, were you inspired by this programme?
The title of this short story intrigued me, it is interesting how although the story focuses on the stranding of the characters at first you chose to make the title about their journey off the island. Its a really clever twist!
