Forget that “enemy” soldier has a family.
Their blood runs red. They feel pain.
Maybe they are a different faith.
Yet we are all the human race.
It is so easy to over look the horror done to the so called enemy side. but they put their pants on the same way you do. They also just want to go home, hug their kids and kiss their wife. War is Hell and it always will be as long as it exists. There has to be a better way.
Hello Mike, Bravo! Good short historical story. You will now have me checking my information on the Caesar Assassination. It was a focused read, Thoughtful, Not hard to follow. And it left me on the edge of the actual workings of the assassination. It was a good length for a quick read. My suggestion would be, [And now Caesar's wife], Calpurnia, citing this disastrous news, as well as some dark premonition, wanted him to remain at home]. That was the only spot that lost me for a bit, and I had to re-read it. I will watch for other historical writings from you.
