Wow this is an absolutely amazing passage. I was drawn in with the detail of it all. You managed to describe the feeling of time to a tee. I was drawn in with the first few sentences and in the very beginning where you write "It lasts an eternity, and is gone in an instant". That small part completely solidified in my mind that I would enjoy this passage and I did.
