You sure do describe a haunting and ghostly vision of the Old south. The poem is quite too the point as well. The only negative thing I can say is that the poem uses a lot of 'southern reference words', but that is to be expected in a poem about the south, of course. For example, the 'aging storyteller' is the Mississippi? I have never heard of a 'river' described that way, is that common in the south?
