Highly descriptive... I didn't plan on reading through an entire short story, as I always like to skim until I find a hook, but this reeled me in until the finish. The creatures we dream up in our basements, although familiar, never grow old in my personal opinion.
The reason I gave it a 4 out of 5 was due to my lack of interest in the symbolism and subtleties that live within poetry. If I were to interpret this poem straight forward, I would say that the author has a lot of underlying symptoms of confusion and depression, however that is my review on the message. The content is there and well written, the stanzas flow nicely and I admired how it started and ended with a similar tone (conveying your differences compared to others in society and then contemplation of death). I enjoyed reading this despite my utter disenjoyment of poetry aside from Dante (the Divine Comedy being the only epic poem I could bear). Great read and hope to read more.
