Review of The Poet  Open in new Window.

I will start by mentioning this poem is in need of a little editing, there are a few grammar mistakes here and there.

This is more than a poem, it is a story, a story of a man driven "crazy" by a horrific event from his past... With tortured words he wrote of horrors and those who read it felt he was not in his right mind. Tossing him in a cell of an asylum for all of eternity. Though locked away the "poet" still found a way to write his words and share his message, up until he found his peace by parting from the cruel, unfair world.

A lot of emotions are sealed inside of this piece and story, broken into 5 parts is extremely well wrote. While altogether the poem is a sad and hollowing read, the ending does lift your spirits when you grasp the symbolism of his final words and freedom.

I think this is a pretty good poem. Am I wrong to think it leads to suicide? Hopefully the character finds himself another path to solve this problem. I especially like the way you describe the pain of the characters dreams. Also the style you write this poem in is very interesting. Good job.

This is one of the most touching and heartfelt poems I have ever read, and it means so much to me. The realism of this piece makes me want to throw up in disgust. These children are dying and hardly anyone cares, and I wish more people that have the money or have the chance to, would do something to help these poor kids. Great piece, I will remember it for all time.

I think that this is an excellent piece of poetry.
It flows beautifully and it also has alot of expressive details that pull you into the poem. When I read this piece I feel as if I am standing there in the rain, listening and thinking of pasttimes. Very good job!

This poem is gossiping about a girl that back in high school used to be so perfect, that everybody related her to Snow White, and interestingly enough she finds her way into seven guys who match the story line of the Disney's Snow White and the Seven Dwarfs. These seven guys are brought up to date, to match today's world in this modern Snow White story. An excellent piece.
