Good story, Terrell. I could almost envision the characters' appearances from your thorough descriptions of them--as if I was watching a "whodunnit" show on TV--they were that clear. Mystery solved, and I was disappointed in Stella, for sure. Great backdrop for your story, too, and the idea of having Tom, a Native American, as police chief, is an angle I found refreshing among the mysteries of today. I like Tom a lot--I think he would be a good friend to have. Thanks for putting this story out here for us.
This is a well-written piece. As a Sherlock Holmes fan, I am impressed with how believably Holmes-like the "patient" is in this story, and how A. C. Doyle-like it reads.
