So lovely! I found that I could not stop to even take a break from reading your story. It kept me hooked the whole way through. Entirely hooked to the end! You know you've done well when you can accomplish that with a reader.
I've traveled to the west of Ireland. When I started reading your story, I fell right into the place.
Just an absolutely lovely story. It made me laugh out loud in places, it made me smile a lot. No criticism here. It's too good. And it's made me feel good, too. Well done! My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Go Noticed" .
Wow! I sure am glad you dug this out of the back of your closet. This is great. Perfect. I see no errors, nothing that I could or would pick on. I think it's a powerful poem about the only real opposites that matter. It sort of blew my mind when I read the one about Evil being the world's infatuation. It makes me grimace to read that, but you're so right on. Can we pray that one day its opposite will be the world's infatuation?
Very nice job. Thank you. My review has been submitted for consideration in "Good Deeds Go Noticed" .
This is a very nice poem to read. It's positve and light. I especially enjoy the last verse and am able to place myself within it's essence. It's simple, truthful, and wonderful!
Absolutely WONDERFUL! This story is so great. I laughed and laughed and enjoyed it so very much. Thank you and write lots and lots and lots more please! You have great talent! There were a couple of typos though, but you still earned a perfect score! I will still eat turkey after reading this. Especially free range. Call me carnivorous!
Your rhyming is great! I like the last stanza a lot! In fact I can relate to it. Been there a few times myself. I get kind of lost with the first two stanzas though. It could be that I'm just a dumb blond though ;o)
Good work.
Regardless of any imperfections of spelling or grammer, if any, I think this piece is perfect. In fact, the imperfections add to the perfection. You capture the absolute pearl of the creative essence of spirit that God intended ... just one more.
My personal belief is that it never ends, even after what we think of as "death". God is Creator and made us in His own Likeness. As long as we have life, physical and/or spiritual, we will always have desire to create, (to experience) ... just like Him.
And like Martha says, "It's a good thing." :o)
I wish you good health and happiness!!
Peace.
This was fun to read. You did a nice job. I smiled and chuckled through the whole thing. There's a lot of dialogue and you did a good job with it, too.
I enjoyed reading this poem very much. Pretty cool. It's nice to take a different perspective from time to time and you've done that here. Thanks for the journey.
This is a cute story. Very typical of getting up on the wrong side of the bed. The only thing that bothered me was that I never really met a 16 year old boy that got out of bed "gingerly". You may want to rethink that, as teenage boys are rather "clunky". Otherwise, the story is cute.
Very interesting and quite colorful characters. I truly enjoyed picturing each one of these individuals as you described them clearly. In such a short snippet you provide a clear definition of a three dimensional being. Really good work. I only hope to be able to do the same in my own work. Very good stuff. Very original too!
I think your writing style is very good. The story is very interesting and kept me reading intently. The only thing that bothered me was when the bishop told Katherine that no one could find out "about this", it didn't seem clear to me whether he was talking about the rape that had just taken place, or if he was referring to some other dark secret. Either way, there was no reference to what he was talking about and I felt lost. Other than that I truly liked the character, Katherine, and your writing style.
Oh boy! This one speaks to me. And probably to many people. Your words are sage ... short and sage. The originality of "the howl of the hound" screaming in the heart is grand. I could feel that howl in my own heart from times past. You've done a beautiful job of capturing the pain and collapsing it into a few eloquent words. Job well done. Thank you for the good read.
