found myself reading all you have here--went back to find my favorite for review--none touched me more than the other---i saw only the fringes of the YOU that was there- I knew like Dr. Who's Tardis there were depths leading into a labyrinth of places long unexplored. Its's only words-shapes of characters that if i knew no english would only be meaningless marks of lines and curves. You tease and taunt some emotion in me and play like a cat with a defeated mouse. You sit like Castro at the helm of your little nation and just command your army of words to attack with guerrilla warfare, ok so maybe you tire of this drooling admiration. me too.
in the latening sun,
like the perfect perfume
for a funeral. I leave you with this smell still stuck in my nose hair and slowly draining down the back of my throat.

Having a six year old daughter your poem hits the heart very hard and warns me to be cautious with my words. This accomplishes what poetry and writing in general should do_ it makes us search our own hearts in our relationship to others. Thank you- I give my girl a big hug and an I love you and I want her to know she is wanted here.

Review of Why?  Open in new Window.

Rated: ASR | (5.0)
Why I am here:
Baruch Atah Adonai, Eloheinu Melech Ha’Olam, Sh’hecheyanu, V’Kiyemanu, V’Higianu LaZman HaZeh.

Why I rated this five: Baruch Haba HaShem Adonai.

I would rather die than deny Christ.:" For you died, and your life is hidden with Christ in God" (Col. 3:3). Hard for what is already dead to die for anything?

I would like to have conversation concerning these things. Your writing must be alright-it attracted me-communicated to me- and made me think. thanks-shade

I moved from North Florida to South Georgia in the first month of the oil spill. As of a few days ago we are now witnessing one of the biggest criminal cover-ups of our time. Obama goes and swims 10 minutes in the Gulf at Panama City and the Gulf reopens for fishing. but only weeks ago all agreed it was THE WORST ENVIRONMENTAL DISASTER OF OUR TIME.
But, now all is well and there are no millions of gallons of oil 100 times more than the Exxon Valdez spill. Thanks to the EPA approval of millions of gallons of dispersant all this oil is now broken into a zillion particles that will not float. Unseen it does not exist. Microbes eat these fine particles and small fish eat the microbes and then large fish eat the small fish. A primary chemical of crude oil is benzene. CDC EPA DEP WHO are all agreed on this: benzene is without doubt a carcinogen and has the ability to enter the bone marrow through blood and causes leukemia. DO NOT BELIEVE THE LIE. It is no where near over or safe. 46% of benzene assimilates into tissue in fish and humans. Money here is the motivator--Obama received millions for his 10 minute swim.

Absolutely excellent! Van Gogh, Gauguin, and Lautrec were my earliest inspiration and motivation.
Art is either plagiarism or revolution.
Paul Gauguin

I need to read this interview often. " Dream your life in rich vibrant colors. Then live it as you have seen." Oddly enough I just posted a poem on colors. Thanks for the reminder of what art is and what should be the motivation. "It is the eye of ignorance that assigns a fixed and unchangeable color to every object; beware of this stumbling block.."
Paul Gauguin

Do you see me? I just want you to see me.
I find your prose and poems deep in their simplicity. Skip the 2$ words and just get to the truth of a feeling or view point-(-ok so I am preaching to me) I appreciate the raw honesty of your writing----it is telling me something i needed to hear and thank you for that.
