Bradley,
This story poses a very interesting question, if have traveled back to the past, can we adversely effect it and the cultural development of the peoples there if we meet them?
I like the vivid imagery used in the narrative of the story "A small grove of pines stood silently, their branches bending down under the weight of snow. One load of snow finally gave in to the demands of gravity, sliding down in a small powdery fury, the green pine bough springing upward, back to its former position."
The story is tight and works well. I find myself wanting to know more about these people and how they got there and what happens to them in the future...not an easy task to do in a short story.
I would highly recommend this story and look forward to exploring new stories that you've written.
Thank you for sharing it with us.
