Hi Diane,

What a fun story to read! ...And loaded with information besides! I don't know how I never came across this before...

"Each person can decorate their individual area to their taste..." This is the perfect way to describe the bunch of authors that make up our writing.com family. *Smile*

You mentioned Kathleen, Pita, Storymistress and some nice links too.

This is such a creative item. If Laurencia (great person by the way) didn't put an award here already, I would have. *Delight*

Hi Stallion,

That was a tough one because I love them all. I picked the tiger though. I guess I've always been fascinated with them ever since I saw a white one at the zoo when I was a little girl.

I like the lions too, because I saw a show about them on the Animal Planet. The females are such fantastic mothers! One little one got lost, and the whole group waited until she found it before they continued on their trek for water. *Smile*

Well, I know that katherine76 contacted you already from our group, "The Check It Out Group, but I wanted to also send my congratulations for being chosen in our 'Check it Out' pages for the month of September.

Fun poll. *Delight*

Each month Maryann- summer travel and katherine76 will highlight members and items in a variety of categories and place those items on a page that is in each of our ports (double the exposure). The owner of each chosen item will receive a plug in the two "Check It Out" pages for that month and will receive 500 gps.

Your item, "Sniglets, has been chosen in the category of 'In and Out' for the month of September. During this month, you can see it here, (Maryann's) "Check It Out... and here, (Katherine's) "Invalid Item.

Another great In and Out by deemac . *Delight*

What a great take on an old nursury rhyme! Each poster re-writes it. I read all of the posts, and laughed throughout. *Laugh*

I liked this one the best:

"Mary had a little Elvis impersonator / His singing would not cease / Every song from "I've Lost Ewe" / Right through to "Blue Suede Fleece". LOL

Sherri, this is a very impressive auction. The best way to describe it is 'WOW'!

Not only will your auction benefit many places on writing.com, but it will really make lots of the members happy. I counted 21 incredible things to win, plus a bonus too! ...A lot of fun here. *Delight*

Your forum is a hidden gem on writing.com. I wish that I would have found it sooner -- I could have used some of the good advice, like vinegar for sunburn or cucumbers for puffy eyes.

I read many of these fantastic posts, but I plan on checking here from time to time to keep up to date. *Delight*

Nice story, Alan. It seems like a fresh idea. Three teenaged boys find out that a moviing truck filled an old house with expensive items a day before the owners will be there, so they decide to rob it.

It turns out that the house is haunted, so it makes for an interesting robbery.

I found one 'typo' that you might want to fix so that it doesn't interrupt the quality of your story:

"When Jared go to the living room, he found Pete lying on the floor."

Great job, and welcome to writing.com. I hope that you will put more stories in your port. *Smile*

*Thumbsup* Well done, Kjo. You did an absolutely amazing job in writing this story, and I will be proud of adding it to "WDC Power Places. No ribbon -- I'll have to fix that. *Wink*

Some of the best lines: "Beams of silvern moonlight sneak around the small openings between thick trees. If I didn’t know better mama, I’d say those rays of light were the arms of God reaching out." "This iron piece at my side will either save me or bury me. But it's not for me to decide. I don’t mean to burden you, just know that I love and miss you. This letter isn't ready to be sent yet mama, so, I'll be writing more soon." "Dear Mrs.Johnson: It brings me great sadness to be writing this letter to you."

Your touching story is sure to bring tears to the readers eyes, as it did mine. One sure sign of a great writer is if he/she can mesmerize the reader, and touch the emotions.

Hi Justine,

Your poem is really very pretty. I can sense a mystical and wondrous harmony in the words, which flow together effortlessly. You accomplished a tone of inspiration which your readers will have no trouble feeling. I like the line, "rainbows essence embrace us" the best. *Smile*

Review of The Moonbeam

Hi Cynaemon,

I enjoyed reading your moonbeam poem. I thought you succeeded in telling a sweet story in a small space. Your poem made me picture the moon-lit night which shines on the flowers, ("Embraces stray moonflowers"), all while we sleep.

Very nice! *Smile*

Hi Hamster,

Your first poem on writing.com is a good one. I enjoy reading these type of poems. Acrostic poems, I think, take more thought to create because of the limitations of having to begin each line with the needed letter.

Your poem is really pretty. *Smile*

Hi Snow,

I'm trying to make sure that I visit some of the ports from the yellow reviews while at this party.*Smile*

I like your summer poem. It makes me realize that our summer is also almost over. 'Just August left! It seemed like I was just waiting for it to get here.

...But like you said in your poem, "Day by day summer decomposes"

Wow, I think I must have been at this crossword puzzle for a half an hour! It was lots of fun, but I still couldn't finish it. I just recently finished reading the Deathly Hallows book, so I thought it would be an easy puzzle. I guess I forgot a lot of names and things from the book. I needed a multiple choice page. LOL

Nice work putting it together. *Smile*

Review of Dear God,

Hmmm, short and sweet. Your poem certainly provokes thought. Your words about it, "Philosophy 1-o-1" are a good way to put it.

I once know a person back in school who only wrote one sentence on his essay titled "Who Are You." All that was written on the paper was "I am me and nobody else." The teacher actually thought that was creative. I'm sure no one ever turned in an assignment like that before. *Smile*

Oh, this is nice, Sapphire. *Smile*

Your fantasy poem is actually a summary of the first book/movie in the Harry Potter series. That was a very imaginative idea.

You even have all of the facts straight ("At Number 4, Privet Drive
That very same night..."
), which makes it that much more enjoyable to read. *Smile*

LOL *Laugh* -- Ronald the Red Haired Weasley set to the music of Rudolph the Red Nosed Raindeer! You have me sitting here at my computer laughing and now my dogs think I'm nuts!

You have to get 5*Star*s for this one.

Fred and George and Bill and Percy,
But do you recall the most famous Weasley of all?"

Oh, nice work, Lily. I think you really captured what J. K. Rowling was trying to express with the icy, shadowy, Dememtor creatures.

Your poem flowed effortlessly to show the emotion of it all.

I like this phrase in your poem the best:

"Plunge you into the deepest, coldest water
Pull you back with the hardest tug
Whiplash your faintest worry
Swirling epiphany"

Very descriptive and poetic. *Smile*

Oooh, Jodie, this is a fantastic limerick! I think our deemac has some good competition here! LOL

I like to read limericks, though I never could write them very well myself, and (of course) I like anything 'Harry Potter'. This item has them both. You're a bright 14 year old for sure. *Smile*

Nice job, Robert. It was like reading an old time novel -- Hunk Finn, maybe.

You did a great job with that style you were seeking. It showed the character's great appreciation of the stream, and opened up the reader's senses to it as well.
